ABUS Malaysia Warranty

This page explains the warranty coverage, warranty period, exclusions, and how to request warranty service for ABUS products purchased in Malaysia only.

Before you request service

  • Please check the user manual and basic troubleshooting steps first.
  • Make sure the product is used according to its intended purpose and installation guidelines.
  • Prepare your proof of purchase and product details (model/serial number).
1) Warranty period

The warranty period starts from the purchase date shown on your proof of purchase (invoice/receipt).

2) Warranty terms
  • The warranty is valid with a clear, unaltered proof of purchase (receipt/invoice).
  • After repair/replacement, the warranty continues from the original purchase date (it does not restart).
  • Products purchased outside Malaysia may be subject to the warranty terms of the country of purchase.
3) What is not covered

The warranty does not cover indirect or consequential losses (example: time, inconvenience, loss of data, loss of income).

  • Altered/unclear proof of purchase, or missing model/serial number.
  • Unauthorized modification, repair, or tampering.
  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, improper installation, or use outside intended purpose (including heavy commercial use if not designed for it).
  • Damage from external causes such as abnormal voltage/power surge, fire, flood/water exposure, lightning, natural disasters, or transportation damage.
  • Normal wear and tear, consumable parts, or cosmetic issues that do not affect functionality.
  • Issues caused by third-party accessories, apps, integrations, or network/connectivity conditions outside product control.
4) How to request warranty service

Please prepare the following:

  • Model name / model number
  • Serial number
  • Proof of purchase (invoice / receipt) showing purchase date
  • Short description of the issue + photos/videos (if applicable)
